For my industry, the industry I will be choosing is the sports industry. The industries i decided to choose were ESPN and bleacher report.
Both organizations, I would say are similar in tone as they are both very ecstatic in their post and also use comedy at times.
For their audience, being that they are two outlets for sports news they have pretty much the same audience. ESPN and Bleacher Report cater to fans of sports which can range from all ages and men or woman. Their post have to appeal to a big audience I would say.
I believe the primary purpose of these two organizations on social media is to report sports news, news revolving athletes, and game scores. They intend to do this as quickly as they can and to inform their audience of what is happening in the world of sports.
For ESPN, they had a post of Cole Anthony’s post game interview. It gave fans a taste of his personality as it was funny and electric. I believe this post was successful because it involved a video, and the post game interview. Fans always love to see the players reactions after the game.
For Bleacher Report, I chose a post involving Kevin Durant scoring. He made a highlight play that deserved some recognition. I believe this post was successful because fans are always interested in the scoring highlights of the game.
I believe that both organizations are successful in reaching their audience, but I believe ESPN has the upper hand. I say this because, they are much more known because they are too TV network. What they are trying to do and establish is only elevated by having a TV network
