Are the Jets and Giants watchable again?

The Giants lost this past Thursday’s game against the Washington Redskin 30-29. First string quarterback, Daniel Jones, potentially could have had two plays that would’ve helped the Giants win over Washington, one being a 58-yard run that was called back due to a holding penalty and the other play, a 43-yeard touchdown pass blocked by Washington’s Darius Slayton. Even though the Giants didn’t pull out the win, one thing they can be excited for is Daniel Jones, the NFL’s fastest QB currently. Daniel did not turnover the ball at all against Washington on top of throwing sharp passes. But the Giants’ still face the issue that effected them last season, which is their blocking on the offensive of the ball. most of their offense relied on Jones passing the ball than Saquon Barkley running it. since the start of the game, Washington’s Daron Payne, Jonathan Allen, and Montez Sweat were dominating and became even worse for the Giants throughout the course of the game. Good news for the Giants that their QB played well, but to what cost if the defense wasn’t there and gave up 600-yards and four touchdown on Thursdays’ game.

Jets

Despite the Jets having consecutive bad seasons, the fans are crying to at least have somebody on their roster that is entertaining to watch. Heading into the Fall, there has been some confidence circulating around the Jets, even though in previous years it would be ridiculous to have any hope for this football club. one of the reasons that fans have their confidence ignited is because of rookie QB zach Wilson, who was drafted in the second round and has a laser of an arm. Wilson didn’t have a good debut game as he threw four interceptions, which left the thought in most people that the Jets are still indeed the Jets. The Patriots gained a victory over the Jets as they defeated them 25-6 on Sunday. New England’s rookie QB, Mac Jones, played well into Belichicks’ offensive scheme to carry them to a victory. The Jets are currently playing the most rookies on the field in the entire league, which many people consider to be a very bad thing to be doing. With that approach, it seems that these rookies won’t showcase any potential until at least week 4 or 5. after many seasons of disappointments from both Jets and Giants, it seems there are more to come.
