Hello! My name is Kyle Morgan and I am a senior majoring in communication studies. I have been on the baseball team here at Dominican for four years. I am also the President of the Communication Honor Society. This event is very personal for me. I am from Boca Raton, Florida, where we do this fundraiser every year for breast cancer awareness. When presented the task to come up with a fundraiser this was the first thing that came to mind. I know how successful this event can be and want to bring it all the way up to Orangeburg, New York. After doing a research paper in the fall on this topic I have learned how important research and awareness for breast cancer is. The key is to catch it early by getting regular checkups and screening. The technology has advanced so much over the past 30 years, but the awareness hasn’t had the same success. By doing this event we are trying to create awareness to how important early detection is. Hopefully we will impact as many people as we can. Let’s Kick Cancer together!
Hello, my name is John-Michael Broderick and I am partnering alongside Kyle Morgan to put together a kickball fundraiser to raise money for breast cancer. I am a senior majoring in communication studies. We are running this event for our senior capstone project. Kyle and I want to run and coordinate an event that will make a difference in people’s lives and we thought a Kickball tournament fundraiser will not only make a difference but will also bring enjoyment to people. Our main goal is to raise awareness about the disease and donate money all the money raised to the Susan G Komen Foundation. We hope that we can put on and run a great event for all participants.
