Raiders Working Hard on and off the Field

NFL: Derek Carr and Raiders defeat Jets in dramatic fashion - Los Angeles Times

There have been some incredible story’s recently of Raiders players getting clean.

The biggest story is of Las Vegas Raider star Tight End Darren Waller. Waller has been doing drugs at age 16 and kept doing it even when he was first in the league.

The only outlet he had in his life was football. He was on so many drugs that he didn’t care about sports anymore and even took more drugs to get caught by the NFL so he didn’t look like a quieter.

Waller was suspended from the league and took even more drugs. This lead to Darrens dad to take Darren to rehab to get him clean and sober.

After that hiccup in his life, the next challenge was getting back into the league. The raiders signed Waller to the practice squad and it worked out because he is currently one the games best at his position.

The next player is Maxx Crosby. Maxx’s story is a little different but still as inspirational as Wallers story. Maxx always struggled with alcohol and partying.

He was introduced the life style in high school and kept it with him till only and year or two ago. Drinking and partying was always a distraction to him and he had his eyes open in the recent COVID pandamic.

He relised what he was doing and went to rehab on his own for a month. This is so special because when people have a problem they usually don’t relise it and deny the problem and say they don’t have one.

Maxx went for a month to rehab and is currently going on 18 months sober(August 2021).
