Every year people always talk about the top players who jerseys are selling the most.
It’s usually always the same players with a couple players that you are like, how did they not make the list?
This years list though is a bit interesting.I say this because Mike Trout, MLB’s best player, was hurt all year and there were so many trades of elite players at the trade deadline.
You would think Mike Trout being hurt all year would probably make him not be in the top 20 but he is. Trout was #14 in Jersey sales and he barley played at all.
There are 4 players that were traded that made the top 20 in jersey sales and the jerseys are from their former teams.
Some players that I think should be on this list that aren’t are Shohei Ohtani and Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
They both are having MVP seasons and 1 of these 2 will win. Shohei Ohtani is second in home runs( behind Guerrero Jr) and has a 3.36 which is pretty good for the MLB.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr is leading in home runs and batting average and third in RBI’s. If he ends the year leading all three he will win a Triple Crown.
This hasn’t been done since 2012 by Miguel Cabrera. There has been only 10 players to win a total of 12 batting Triple Crowns.
Winning a Triple Crown and hitting and pitching in the MLB are very rare. These players should easily be on the top 20 list.
