Picking the Perfect Planner
Picking the perfect planner is like picking the perfect dress or jeans. It is very difficult.
There are also many different aspects that go into picking the perfect planner.
- How big do you want it?
- How much space do you need?
- Do you want it decorative?
- Do you want it professional?
- Do you want it with the times written in?
- Do you want it with just lines to fill in what you need and when?
- What kind of view do you like? Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly? A combination? All of them?
- What other sheets do you usually need to plan with? Does the planner you’re interested in come with these pages?
- When does your planner start? What if you want a new planner in September? You’ll just be wasting 9 months of pages and then you’ll need a whole new one in 3 months…how silly! And a waste of money 🙁
These are only a few questions I’ve thought of off the top of my head. There are many many more.
So what exactly do you need? Before you decide to purchase a planner, you need to figure this out. There’s nothing worse than buying a planner and then realizing it’s not great. I’ve done it multiple times and they’re still sitting in my room, sadly unwritten in.
One of the perks of an Autumn Breezy planner is that you decide exactly what you need in it and I put it in…even if it’s not a page that I offer. It’s a completely customized and personalized planner that works just for you. It’s a place where you can put all your events, save some documents in the pocket folders, and further plan and organize yourself with pages like Passwords, Contacts, To Do, Notes, Birthdays, Emergency Contact Numbers, Hours & Pay, and fun additions like coloring pages and word searches.
This is precisely the reason why I created Autumn Breezy Planners. I needed so much more than what comes with your typical planner. And after using my own planner for some time now, I’ve found that there are many more uses for planners, besides just planning.
I hope this little article has helped you think about what kind of planner you need. The best planners are the ones that work perfectly for you, are easy to carry around, and are appealing to the eye. Who wants to plan of a plain white sheet of paper? Not me!
Happy Planning!
